• Appellation of origin: Secano Interior, Ranquil, Valle de Itata
• Soil: The vineyard sits on Fundo Ñipas. The soil is composed of volcanic sand sediments, in combination with granitic intrusive base material.
• Viticulture: The harvest is only of the own grapes from vines that are more than 80 years old. These vines are cultivated organically, using traditional methods involving both human labor and animal assistance. The grapes are selected manually. and come from a small 1.6-hectare plot of Country in our vineyard.
• Elaboration: Vinification takes place in native Chilean wood presses (raulí), aged in 600-liter French oak barrels for approximately 12 months and then bottled in underground cellars.
• Tasting notesIntense purple with cherry-red rims colors, floral and highly aromatic with scents of red roses that intensify with aeration. It is reminiscent of cherry liqueur, with traces of earth and a pencil box bottom, and a certain touch of herbs. Complex. With the rustic tannins of the varietal, between rough and tannic in character, it nevertheless presents itself as a lively red wine with a mature profile. Everything one expects from a good País.

• Pairing:fresh fruit (strawberries, red apples, grapes) raisins, plums. Mushroom ceviche, beef carpaccio or raw, salad (heart of palm, artichoke bottom, avocado and bed of lettuce)
